I stayed in a converted stable room, which are imaginatively called the 'bnew/b rooms'! However, it was a beautiful room - really lovely furnishings, stone floors (with under floor heating) and possibly the whitest bathroom I have ever seen in a bhotel/b! The food was lovely and the place ... There are also some beautiful well maintained small bhotels/b and B&B's in and around Ripon and bThirsk/b and from there you are only a stones throw to the dales, which is well worth a visit ...
